Betty Jean Bremer Brengelman, age 65, of Leawood, Kansas, died October 13th, 2011. Hers was a sudden and unexpected death; she went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully in her sleep. Betty Jean was born Dec. 9, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, Miss., to Elmer and Josephine (Luft) Bremer. Betty Jean married Richard Clark Brengelman on Nov.12, 1967, in Albion, Neb. Survivors are: husband, Richard Brengelman; daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Craig Hennerberg; brother, Darwin Bremer; sister, Donna (Bremer) Johnson; grandchildren, Stephen, Emily and Ryan. Betty Jean worshiped with her family at Bethany Lutheran Church in Leawood, Kan. Betty Jean was preceded in death by her parents, sister, JoAnn (Bremer) Hendrickson, and son, Richard Curtis Brengelman. Betty Jean loved the gardens God gave her to tend and also her dachshunds. Graveside services were at Westlawn Cemetery, Grand Island, NE. Published in The Grand Island Independent on October 16, 2011
