Waldemar was the son of Randolph S Murff and Randolph's second wife, Elizabeth Hannah. Waldemar was married to Elizabeth Jane Medlock. in 1843. She died in Laurens Co, SC. Then he married Mary Malinda Burdine in 1853. They moved to Monroe Co, MS just before Christmas 1857. After she died, he married Elmina Jane Watson in 1871. He is buried between his second and third wives. He had two sons with Elizabeth Jane: James Randolph "Jim Randall" Murff b.1845 and Connell O'Neal Murff b. 1847. They both moved with him to MS and lived and are buried in Monroe Co., MS. Waldemar had five children with Mary Malinda Burdine: Lorenzo "Burdine" Murff b. 1853, Theodore Belton "Belt" Murff b. 1855 (the same year the town of Belton was incorporated 18 miles from Ware Shoals, SC), Henry Walton Murff b. 1859, John Wesley Murff b. 1863, and Charlotte Elizabeth Murff Folger b. 1867. Henry, John, and Charlotte were taken to SC after their mother's death in 1869, honoring her request that they be reared by her sisters. Burdine stayed in Monroe Co. Belt moved in with his father's sister Malinda Murff West who lived in Calhoun Co, MS. Waldemar had one daughter with Elmira Jane Watson: Martha "Mattie" Elvira Murff Jaudon b. 1872. John Wesley Murff left SC, worked in GA, AL, MS, married a young lady from Monroe Co., MS, and ended up in Ennis, TX
