Tombstone bought by Lanita Sconce Smith with additional funds from the Mary Angeline Taylor Sconce descendants as well as Thomas Taylor descendants. Grandson of Thomas Edward JUSTICE, SR and Mary DYER; son of Amos JUSTICE, SR and Mary McBRAYER; husb. of Sarah NETTLES WILL: Wm. Nettle to Letters of Estate of John D. Justice dec.: State of Arkansas ) County of Randolph ) The State of Arkansas To all persons to whom these presents shall come Greetings: Know ye that when as John D. Justice of the county of Randolph died intestate, as it is said on or about the 8th day of April, A.D. 1847 having at the time of his death personal property in this state, which may be lost, destroyed or diminished in value if study case be not taken of the same: to the end therefore that the said property may be collected, preserved and disposed of according to law, we do hereby appoint William Nettle of the county of Oregon & State of Missouri, administrator of all and singular the good and chattles, rights and credits which were of the said John D. Justice at the time of his death, with full power and authority to secure and dispose of the said property according to law, and collect all moneys due said deceased, and in general to do and perform all other acts and things wich are or hereafter may be required of him by law. In testimony where of I Thos. O. Marr clerk of the circuit court and ex officio clerk of Probate in and for the county of Randolph aforesaid, have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said court, at office this 22 day of May A.D. 1847. Justice dec.: State of Arkansas ) County of Randolph ) I, William Nettles do solemnly swear that the value of the estate of John D. Justice deceased who died intestate and upon whos estate I have prayed letters of administration, is not to the best of my knowledge and belief more than six hundred dollars, whos only heirs are one son and five daughters, ____ Sarah C. Stogsdale who resides in Green County Missouri, Jefferson, Margaret, Mary, Elizabeth, and Matilda Justice, who resides in this County, That I will make a perfect inventory of and faithfully administer, all and singular, the goods and chattles, rights and credits of the deceased, and pay his debts, as far as the assets which may come to my hand will extend and the law direct and faith will account for, and pay over according to law, all assets which shall come to my hand or popepion.
