Bio

Blanch V. Cuba-Rush, age 72, of Columbus died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Blanche V. Cuba-Rush was born April 8, 1939 in Genoa, Nebraska to Joseph and Veronica (Prososki) Cuba. She attended Nance County Public School and earned her high school diploma through the University of Nebraska Extension Division. She graduated from Nettleton Boyles Van Sant Business College in Omaha in 1964. She was employed at St. Mary's & Behlen Memorial Hospitals in Columbus until 1974 when she was forced to retire due to Muscular Dystrophy. In 1989 she moved to Schuyler and resided there until moving back to Columbus in 2000. On August 5, 2009 Blanche married Daniel Rush who she had met in Omaha back in 1964. She is survived by: Brother: Bernard (Sharon) Cuba of Silver Creek, NE and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: Husband: Daniel Rush, Father: Joseph Cuba, Mother: Veronica Cuba, Brother: Robert Cuba
