Bernard C. Cuba died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at his home near Silver Creek, Nebraska. Bernard Charles Cuba was born June 24, 1948 in Genoa, Nebraska to Joseph P. and Veronica (Prososki) Cuba. He graduated from Genoa High School in 1966. Bernard served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam from 1968 - 1969. He married Sharon Grosch on May 16, 1970 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek. Bernard farmed all of his life in rural Genoa. He was a lifetime member of Ss. Peter & Paul Krakow and a member of the Genoa American Legion. Bernard enjoyed farming, hunting and playing cards. He loved spending time with family, especially his five grandchildren, and friends. He is survived by: Wife: Sharon Cuba of Silver Creek, NE Son: Jeffrey Joseph (Brenda) Cuba of Genoa, NE Daughter: Kimberly Kay (Rob) Smith of Fremont, NE Grandchildren: Landon Cuba, Aiden Cuba, Briley Cuba, Zane Smith and Max Smith He was preceded in death by: Parents: Joseph and Veroncia Cuba Brother: Bob Cuba Sister: Blanche Cuba Infant Son: Joseph William Cuba Infant Daughter: Bernette Kay Cuba Granddaughter: Sydra Cuba Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family
