Bio

Nancy Novella was born the third child to Henry Benjamin Gaines and Mary Jane (Mollie) Moore Gaines. She was born in Brown County, Texas. She taught school until she met and married Murl Pittman on April 3, 1921. They had 4 children. They were married almost 68 years. She died in Baytown, Texas on February 12, 1989 at the age of 88.
