Alvin Ray Hursman Tuesday, October 4, 2011 Marshall Democrat-News Alvin Ray Hursman, 70, of Higginsville, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at his home. Born Thrusday, Nov. 14, 1940, in Sweet Springs, he was the son of the late Walter Lee Hursman an d Margaret Mae Hayes Hursman. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and was employed by General Motors as a motor setter. He is survived by sons, Tony Ray Hursman and his wife, Marty, and Matthew Hursman and his wife, Monica, all of Higginsville; daughters, Penny Curtis and Kerry Thompson of Grain Valley, and Dana Hursman of Higginsville; four brothers, Bluford Hursman, Harold Hursman, and Eddie Hursman and Jerry Hursman; three sisters, Rosie Garrison, Ruby Garrison and Shirley Burnett; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Hursman and Jimmy Hursman and one sister, Zelma Hall.
