Obituary: Mary was born to Frank and Mary (Hajdik) Jez on May 23, 1921 in Frydek, Texas. She was raised in Frydek and attended St. Mary's Catholic School. On July 23, 1940 the former Miss Mary Jez was joined in marriage to Mr. Fred Mieth with a ceremony held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek. Mary worked at the school cafeteria as a cook and was a waitress at Riverside Service Station for 21 years. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening and playing dominoes. Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was involved with the Alter Society. Mary J. Mieth passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at her home in Sealy. Mary is survived by her husband of 70 years, Fred Mieth of Sealy, children, Eugene Mieth and wife Lucille of East Bernard, Mary Ann Florian of Rosenberg, Lorine Rains an husband Mike of Cypress and David Mieth and wife Florence of Sealy, sister, Tillie Hadge of East Bernard, 11 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and her cat, Mitzi. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Jez and brothers, Frank and Willie Jez.
