Richard Keith Christensen,69 of Centerfield and formerly of Richfield, passed away October 3, 2011 in Provo, Utah. He was born May 28, 1942, in Richfield to Boyde Black and Barbara Christensen. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1960. He married Linda Hendrickson, later divorced. They had three children: Barry (Wendi) Christensen, John Christensen and Jason Christensen who is deceased. He married Kathy Dee Allred, later divorced. They had two sons: Richard "Rick" (Mandy) Christensen, Michael "Mike" (Jennecca) Christensen; step-son, Tony (Sheila) Scott. Richard married Dellas Earlene Christensen, January 26, 1990, in Gunnison. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple in March of 2000. She has two children: Doreen (Robert) Nielson, Mark (Jerrilynn) Hansen. Richard started working at the age of eight helping farmers. He started driving a coca cola truck for his Dad at 16 which then started a life long career and love for truck driving. He drove over 6 million miles accident free. Richard was awarded the Utah State Driver of the Year in 2006 of which he and his family are very proud. He was an active member of the LDS Church. Richard enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, four-wheeling and spending time with his family. He never met a stranger and he had a contagious smile. He will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Earlene; children; grandchildren: Nicholas and Viansa; Kaitlyn and Lucas Christensen; Kelsey and Kyler Nielson; Natosha, Makelle, Hunter and Kaylee Hansen; MyKenna Christensen; Trey, Porter and Maxwell Christensen; Mason, Stacia and Ashlynn Scott; brother, Fred (Marie) Christensen; sister-in-law, Jean Christensen. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert; infant son, Jason. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 12:00 Noon in the Centerfield 2nd LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Centerfield on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
