From Newspaper Clipping of Georgia Stenton Hardgrove RUSSELL WRIGHT A long-time Salisbury area resident, Russell Robert Wright, died July 18 at North Village Manor, Moberly. Mr. Wright, 81, had been in ill health for some time and he and his wife had been residing at the Moberly nursing home for several months. He was a son of Robert and Nancy Naylor Wright and was born in Chariton County on October 10, 1898. He married Mary Sue Gilstrap in 1919 and she preceded him in death. On March 7, 1923 he married Frances McLean. Survivors are his wife; a son, Lowell Wright, Salisbury; a daughter, Margaret Clare, Troy; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was a retired farmer and had lived in the Prairie Hill community before moving to Salisbury. He was a member of the Prairie Hill Christian Church, Salisbury American Legion and was a World War I veteran. Visitation was at Berry Funeral Home Saturday evening with funeral services at Berry Chapel Sunday afternoon at 2:00. Rev. Bob Hodkins was in charge with music by organist, Mrs. Cecil Clayburg and vocalist, Miss Lucy Vaughn. Pallbearers were Gene and Gary Wright, Frank and Robert Clare, Brian Schnarre and Wright Williams. -from contributor Tom Waters
