Veteran of World War II Orem-Geneva Times, Orem, Utah, 07 Dec 1994 LeRoy W. (Roy) Marrott, beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully December 1, 1994. He was born May 19, 1915, in Orem, Utah, a son of Wm. and Clara Rodebach Marrott. His family moved to Provo where he attended school, graduating from Provo High. Roy married Jacqueline McKclvey in 1945; they were later divorced. Roy was in the Army Air Force during World War II, serving in the Philippines. He retired from Geneva Steel where he worked in the open hearth for 30 years. Roy was very mechanical and had the ability to fix things. He was a wonderful gardener, growing showcase gardens for many years. He loved to fish and hunt. He was active in the LDS Church. He especially loved to watch his grandchildren grow and spent a great deal of time with them. He is survived by a son, Phillip (Vicki) Marrott, and a daughter, Carol (Jim) Winters; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Zella Ingram and Thelma Olsen, both of Orem; also many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, December 5, 1994, in the Timpview Fifth Ward Chapel in Orem, under the direction of Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary. Interment took place in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
