Bio

The Oil City Derrick, Wednesday Morning, Jan. 4, 1950. Pg 4 Edward R. Reid, 80. of Clarion township, died at 3:20 a. m. Tuesday in the Oil City hospital following a two months' illness. A son of the late John M. and Caroline Fulton Reid, he was born October 9, 1869, in Clarion township. On May 5. 1892, he was married to the former Miss Alma A. Kifer. Mr. Reid was a member of the Zion Baptist church of Reidsburg. Surviving are his wife and the following children, A. R. Reid, Mrs. L. L. Seigworth and Orlan E. Reid of Clarion, Mrs. D. A. Crispen of Oil City and Mrs. R. H. Hepler of Apollo. The body was taken to Jenkins funeral home, Clarion. Funeral arrangements are not complete. NOTE: Jan 5, 1950 article states interment will be in Reidsburg cemetery.
