Services for Robert E. Minton, Sr. age 63 of Neches will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Neches with Dr. Barry Roberts officiating. Masonic graveside rites accorded by the Palestine Masonic Lodge will follow at Neches Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine. Mr. Minton died Wednesday at Hospice Homeplace in Tyler. He was born September 6, 1948 in Anderson County to J.D. Minton, Sr. and Ruby Elrod Minton. Mr. Minton was a retired Anderson County Constable and served 20 years for Pct. # 3. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Neches, and the Palestine Masonic Lodge. Mr. Minton was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Linda Sue Hosch and Wanda Jean Williams, and two brothers William Minton and J.D. Minton, Jr. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 42 years, Susan Minton of Neches, daughters Angela Bailey of Neches, and Abbie Moore of Lone Oak, a son Robert E. Minton, Jr. of Montalba, five grandchildren, Lyric Frazier, Ashley Minton, Emily Minton, Bradley Moore, and Shannon Bailey, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The Mason's of Palestine Masonic Lodge will serve as pallbearers. Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
