ElDean R. Brown, 70, Reedsburg, died on Friday, Jan. 11, 2002 in her home. She was born on Aug. 28, 1931 in Medford, the daughter of Martin and Esther (nee Wiedeman) Lemke. On Oct. 24, 1953 she married Arthur J. Brown. ElDean was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting in her spare time. Survivors include her husband, Arthur; one son, Ronald Brown, Reedsburg; one granddaughter, Lisa Brown, Reedsburg; three sisters, Darlene Polinske, Waukesha, Jean (Jack) Gale, Waukesha, and Juanita Krueger, Red Granite; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Yeager and Ivabelle Smith; one brother, William Lemke and one nephew, Steven Yeager. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Hoof Funeral Home with Pastor Amy Swanson officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. There was a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. The Hoof Funeral Home served the family.
