Son of James Warren Beers and Emma Zina Freestone Husband of Viola Margaret Thorne, married 8 April 1931 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah He retired from Geneva Steel after many years of service. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by a son and a daughter, Monte D. Beers, Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Paul (Betty) Mommott, Pleasant Grove, Ut, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a sister, and two brothers; June Salisbury & Charles Beers, both of Pleasant Grove, Ut, & Kenneth Beers, West Jordan, UT. Burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Pleasant Grove, UT.
