Bio

Monte was born and raised in Pleasant Grove, Utah. His parents were Leland Warren Beers and Viola Margaret Thorne. Monte married Gwen Ardath Lewis on December 1, 1955. He graduated from BYU. He worked as a metallurgist for McDonnell Douglas and Boeing. He loved the outdoors, gardening, hunting and fishing.
