Funeral service for Lillie W. Carr, 87, Lawton will be at 1:00 pm Friday, January 17, 2014 at Letitia Baptist Church. Mrs. Carr left this world on Sunday, January 12, 2014 surrounded by the family she so lovingly raised. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens next to the love of her life, Jim Carr, under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. The family will greet friends Thursday evening, January 16, 2014 from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home. Lillie was born March 22, 1926 in Edmond, Oklahoma to Frederick and Augusta (Baumgart) Walbrick. She married James J. Carr, Jr. on September 13, 1942 in Geronimo. He died January 18, 2006. She was the Office Manager for Meador's Department Store for 20 years. Lillie's life was spent caring for others. She taught her family to love. She was the best cook around and fed any and all who came to her home. Though she will be missed every day by those who love her, the family is comforted that Jim and Lillie will be together for all eternity. Survivors include her two daughters, Patricia Lytle and her husband Jack, Lawton, and Nancy Morris, Marlow; three grandchildren, Shelley Lytle and her husband Patrick Hill, Dustin Lytle and his wife Kristie, and Charles Morris, all of Lawton; six great grandchildren, Nic Lytle, Samantha Hill, Danci Kimbro and her husband Eric, Delani Lytle, Riley McKinney and Amani McKinney; great great grandchild, Braylee Kimbro; two sisters, Alice Wainscott, Lawton, Millie Cherry, Apache; a brother, Jack Walbrick, Lawton; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Arthur Walbrick, George Walbrick and Paul Walbrick; and a sister, Ida Warner.
