Bio

HIGBEE- Mrs. Rose Lyon, 88, of Higbee, died at 3:15 yesterday afternoon at Community Hospital after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Lyon was born Feb. 21, 1876, the daughter of John and Cynthia Craig Holtzclaw. She had lived in and around Higbee for 70 years and was a member of Higbee Baptist Church. Surviving are four sons, Virgil, Odie, and Finnis, Higbee. And Giles, of Fulton. Two daughters, Miss Elsie Lyon, Higbee. And Mrs. Nellie Hardin, Moberly. 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren. And several nieces and nephews. The body is at the Million-Burton-Greer Funeral Home in Higbee. Services will be held at 2p.m. Friday at the Higbee Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Cook officiating. Burial will be at Higbee City Cemetary.
