Bio

HIGBEE-Garrett D. Lyon died at 9 o'clock last night at his home, west of Higbee, the day after his 85th birthday. A native of Kentucky, he came to the vicinity of Higbee at the age of 7 and had lived in the vicinity ever since. Mr. Lyon is survived by his wife, six children, Virgil, Odie, and Finis Lyon, all of Higbee. Miss Elsie Lyon and Giles Lyon of the home and Mrs. Howard Hardin, Moberly; a brother, Al Lyon, Higbee; and 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The body is in the Burton Funeral Home. Services will be held in the Higbee Baptist Church with the time not yet decided. Burial will be in the Higbee Cemetary.
