Chlora Alberta *Chloe* Ogg was born to Bright B. Ogg and Melinda E. Redfern Ogg on April 28, 1886 in Geneva and passed away on November 3, 1980, at the age of 94 years. She was one of eight children in the family. Chlora was born on a farm near Geneva and at an early age moved into town where she lived until she graduated from Geneva High School with the class of 1905. She attended the Conservatory of Music and Business College at Lincoln and worked in Lincoln for a time. During World War I, she worked in Washington D.C. She was employed by the Railroad Commission at San Francisco from which she retired in 1956. After her retirement, she moved back to Geneva and bought the home place, where she and her sister, Cecil made their home. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mrs. Ora McCashland; three brothers, James W. Ogg, C. Claude Ogg and an infant brother. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Cecil Dunn of Geneva, Mrs. Josie Drake of Moran, Kas., and Mrs. Hazel Robinson of Hastings; nephews and nieces. Funeral services were conducted from the First congregational United Church of Christ in Geneva on Thursday, November 6, 1980, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Marshall Hinds officiating. Mrs. David Waldron assisted at the organ. Pallbearers were Bernard L. Robinson, Udell Robinson, Paul E. Ogg, Larry Drake, William Dunn and Kenneth Ogg. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery.
