Bio
Killie McLaughlin was the first wife of James "Jim" Lewis McLaughlin. Killie was the daughter of James "Jim" Thomas Penny and Louisa Jane (Hall) Penny. The name for her mother "Melinda" is a mistaken spelling. Killie died of blood poisoning when giving birth to her second child a boy who died as a baby. Killie is a great-grandmother of Douglas Micah Vail and fifteen others. James Thomas Penny, his daughter Killie Penny, her husband and infant son are all buried next to each other at the Yantis cemetery with just rocks as headstones and possibly not recorded.
