D/O Davis and Jane Hall. W/O James Thomas Penny (Penney). In the Donelton Cemetery, there is a stone which says only the surname of PENNEY . Research of Jane (Hall) Penny's family indicates that one of her sons used the surname spelling "Penney". With this info, family researchers believe that the "Penney" stone in the Donelton Cemetery is that of Jane (Hall) Penny. The spelling of the surname of Penny/Penney is sometimes different even within a group of family members. Jane's death certificate states she is buried in the Donelton Cemetery. April 2011 - Carroll Wilson searched the cemetery for another stone which might show Jane Penny's name. He found no stone for her, only one stone showing the name of "Penney" and no stones showing the name of "Penny". He provided us with a photos showing the area surrounding the "Penney" stone. She died near Lone Oak, Texas out in the country and is one of the 2nd great-grandmothers of Douglas Micah Vail and many others. If anyone has any information on Jane's burial, please contact us.
