Services for Robert J. Orsak, 84, of Killeen will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Killeen with the Rev. Giles Amarasekera officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Killeen City Cemetery. Orsak died Jan. 9, 2002 at a Fort Hood hospital. He was born June 1, 1917 in Crosby. Orsak retired from the U.S. Army in 1960 as a veteran of World War II and Korea and with the Bronze Star. He then went to work for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service as a cook and a snack bar manager. Orsak was active in the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a scoutmaster for more than 18 years, earning the Silver Beaver Honor and Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow, completing Wood Badge training and volunteering as camp cook at Camp Tahuaya. He was a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and was a volunteer for St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Joe Orsak of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; two brothers, James Orsak of San Angelo and Charlie Orsak of Wichita Falls; and one grandchild. Orsak was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Orsak of Killeen; his parents Charlie and Francis Orsak; a sister, Angelina Kucher; and two brothers, Ludwig Orsak and George Orsak.
