Bio

Agnes Silhavy, a long-time resident of the Liberty area, died Thursday the 25th of August at Magnolia Place Health Care Center in Liberty, Texas. Agnes was born in Daisetta, Texas on July 31, 1928. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Hollis and Rosie Hunt, six brothers, Hollis, Ernest, Bill, Boyd, Allen (Pooch), and Jack Hunt, and one sister, Joyce Doris, her first husband, Frank Weaver and second husband of 49 years, Frank Silhavy. Agnes was a home maker most of her life. She loved to work in her yard and enjoyed painting roses. Agnes had a tender heart and a gentle spirit and was loved by all who came to know her. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Weaver, of Liberty; her son, Frank "Buddy" Silhavy and his wife Debbie, of Porter; her daughter Nelda Perkins, of Lexington, Kentucky; her grandchildren Andrew, Phillip, Ryan, Amy, Jamie, Dylan, and John; and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Corine Kleim and husband Mac, and Little Littlefield and husband T.J.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Services were held on Saturday, August 27th at the Hardin United Methodist Church.
