Duncan Banner, Mon., Oct. 29, 2007 Walters - EUGENE DALRYMPLE, 56, of Walters, departed this life Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, in Walters. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church in Walters. Arrangements are under direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters. Eugene was born Jan. 18, 1951, in Walters, to Eldon Gilbert and Winona Avis Harrelson Dalrymple. He grew up in Walters, graduating from WHS in 1969. He attended OSU and later Cameron University, where he received his bachelor's degree. Through the years, he made his home in Dallas and Oklahoma City, working in accounting, apartment management and even upholstery. He eventually received his barber's license, returning to Walters and the Dalrymple family barber shop. He later became a master barber. Eugene was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Walters Chamber of Commerce, and the Walters Lions Club. He enjoyed photography, computers and repair, and riding his motorcycle.
