Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Dec. 7, 1978 Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Buffington Chapel for Mrs. May Self, who die at 12:05 p.m. Sunday in the Memorial Hospital. Rev. Kenneth Wellman will officiate at the services with burial in Gonzales Memorial Park. Mrs. Self was born in Gonzales county on October 26, 1904, the daughter of John Thomas and Myrttie Pearl Dees Hanks, natives respectively of Bastrop and Gonzales counties. She was married include one son, Calvin C. Freasier of Gonzales; one grandchild; one brother, Virgil Hanks of Gonzales; and a sister, Mrs. L. L. (Johnnie) Parsley of Wrightsboro.
