Obit-Gonzales Inquirer Dec. 17, 1981 Parsley Rites Set Services for Mrs. Johnnie Pearl Parsley will be held at the First Baptist church on Thursday, December 24 at 3 p.m. Dr. Curt Dodd and Gerald Evans will officiate at the service with interment to be in the Wrightsboro cemetery. Seydler-Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Parsley died this morning at 3:40 a.m. in the Nix Hospital in San Antonio. She was born September 27, 1902 in Gonzales county to Myrtle Pearl Dees and John Hanks and was married on March 8, 1924 in Gonzales to Lee Larence Parsley. The couple made their home near Wrightsboro, where Mrs. Parsley was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Bernell) Tharp of Wrightsboro, Mrs. Odell (Patsy) Singleton of San Antonio, and Mrs. Bubba (Alice) Hermann of Wrightsboro; two sons, Corpus Christi and Curtis Parsley; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by one brother, Virgil Hanks, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, one brother and a sister. Serving as pall bearers will be her grandsons, Roger, Mike and Mark Singleton, Larry and Clay Parsley, and Trey Hermann.
