MRS. HARLEY WOOD DIED FRIDAY; BURIED IN KELLAR CEMETERY Mrs. Clara M. Wood, wife of Harley Wood, died at her home north of this city on the East road to Lovington Friday after a long illness. She contracted tuberculosis several years ago and everyone possible was done to restore her health, but with avail. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Monroe and married Harley Wood several years ago. She was born April 12, 1879. Her parents have preceded her in death. Besides her husband she leaves three sisters, Mrs. Mary Hubbard and Mrs. Mayme Fultz of Decatur and Mrs. Zoe Sterns of Chicago; also one brother, J. E. Monroe of Texarkana. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the family home and were conducted by Rev. C. E. Barnett. Interment was in Kellar cemetery. The pall bearers were Fred Harmon, Ernest Martin, Henry Y. Kingery, Fred Foster, Lafe Dixon and John Bathe. The Sullivan Progress; Sullivan, Moultrie County, Illinois; Sat. 19 Apr 1930; p. 8, col. 5.
