Bio

Rev. J. E. Beasley, 63, Detroit, Ala., died today at Lister Hill Hospital, Hamilton. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Detroit Methodist Church with Rev. Gerald Duncan, Rev. Mitchell Owens, Rev. William J. Osborn and Rev. E.E. Bridges, district superintendent of Jasper District, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Franklin County, with Hamilton Funeral Home directing. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Sue Beasley; two sons, Rev. J. Elton Beasley, Northport and Freddy Beasley, Florence; a daughter, Mrs. F.D. Motes, Tuscumbia; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Arthur Beasley, Russellville, Alvie Beasley and Leonard Kimbrough, both of Phil Campbell; a sister, Mrs. Velma Hutchinson, Phil Campbell.
