Joe Hanzelka rites held at National Cemetery Graveside services were held in the Fort Same Houston National Cemetery, Tuesday, December 19, at 2:45 p.m. for Joe Hanzelka of Bebe who died in the Audie Murphy Veterans Hospital in San Antonio December 17. The Rev. N. A. Russo of San Antonio officiated at the final rites.Mr. Hanzelka was born October 17, 1922, in Shiner, the son of Frank and Regina Danish Hanzelka. He was a farmer of the Bebe area and had served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Henry Majefski of Gonzales, brothers and sister-in-law, Charlie and Fay Hanzelka and John Hanzelka.Sunset Funeral Home in San Antonio was in charge of arrangements.The Daily InquirerGonzales, TexasDecember 19, 1989 Military Information: MM2, US NAVY
