Charlie Hanzelka A graveside service was held Thursday, October 29 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery for Charlie David Hanzelka of Gonzales. He was born at Shiner on January 23, 1928 to the late Frank and Regina Danish Hanzelka, natives of Czechoslovakia and Yorktown, respectively. Mr. Hanzelka died at his residence in Gonzales on Tuesday, October 27.He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Regina and Henry Majefski of Gonzales; nephew Danny Majefski of Gonzales and niece, Danna Majefski of Tucson, Arizona. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carrie Neuse, and brothers Joe and John Hanzelka. Mr. Hanzelka was a carpenter and member of St. James Catholic Church. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict. The Rev. Frank Macias officiated at the services with arrangements made by Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.
