Son of James Luther Stockard (1844-1911) and Zuleka Zelia Shipp (1858-1890). James and Zuleka were married on 12 Oct 1877 in Bell County, Texas and they had at least five children - LeROY VESTER, Benjamin Shipp (1881-1964), Todd Hill (1883-1970), William Newton (1883-1979) and James Carl. After his mother's death, his father, James, married Laura Florence Hughen (1868-1949) and they had at least two children - Mollie Easter (1903-1998) and James Hughen (1923-1997). Married Jonnie Mildred Megee (1884-1964) and they had at least one child - Kathryn Lee (1924-2006). Catherine (spelling on all vital records after her birth index) married Dr. Laurence Dollins Perrine (1915-1995). They had at least two children - David Laurence and Douglas Lee. Her obituary was posted in The Dallas Morning News (Dallas, Dallas County, Texas) on 8 Jan 2006. Neither her nor her husband appear to be on FAG. He was the Assistant Superintendent for the Board of Education for the City of Dallas (Dallas County, Texas).
