Obituary The Corsicana Daily Sun Monday, August 2, 1971 James Carl Stockard Mar 9, 1886 - Aug 1, 1971 Stockard Carl Stockard, 85, a lifelong resident of Frost, died at about 10 p.m. Sunday in Evergreen Nursing Home of Corsicana after a long illness. Funeral is to be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Frost Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Frost Cemetery under the direction of McCormick Funeral Service of Frost. Rev. Mike Wilson of Frost will officiate. Born March 9, 1886, near Frost, he was a retired farmer. He married Agnes Goodman on Dec. 3, 1911, in Mertens. He was a member of the Frost Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow of Frost; a son, Goodman Stockard of Fairfax, Va.; a daughter Mrs. Douglas Cruikshank of Springfield, Va.; two brothers, Tobe Stockard of Levelland and Marvin Stockard of Meridian; three sisters, Miss Bell Stockard of Meridian, Miss Molly Stockard of California, and Mrs. Hattie Payne of Oklahoma City, Okla. -------------------------
