Bio

Heart felt sympathy is extended to the family of Mrs. Bettie Thompson, 84, who died at a rest home in Greenville, Friday. Funeral and internment was held Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Stonewall Church and cemetery. Mrs. Thompson is a former resident of Liberty Chapel community but had made her home with their daughter, Mrs. Katherine Rhodes in Greenville, for a number of years. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Rhodes of Greenville; five sons, Ephriam Thompson of Camden, Ark, Ellis of Columbus, Jessie of Amory, T.B. of Kosciusko, Randall of Ethel; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Irby of Crane, Texas, Mrs. Mita Ham of Winsboro, Texas; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Reverend Perry Claxton and Rev Billy Williams officiated. Pall bearers were Charles T. Thompson, Clennis O. Thompson, Harry J. Lockett, Bryce Nabors, Herman Lindsey and Ellie Hugh Vance
