Vester Mitchell Stepp, son of Jesse and Adaline Alcey (Spencer) Stepp, married first Malinda A. (Linnie) Carnes of Attala Co., MS. Following her death, he married Margaret (Mittie) Johnson of Monroe Co., MS. Four daughters, Elsie, Bettie, Meta and Florence, were born to the first marriage. To the second marriage, four more children were born, one daughter, Jesse, and three sons, Dewie, Vester, Jr. and Edward.
