Wilemon Death came in a Dallas hospital Saturday morning at 2:45 o'clock to Calvin Clayton Wilemon, 67, former Greenville resident who made his home with a son, J. Roland Wilemon, 1731 1st. St., Dallas. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Tidwell Baptist church. Rev. Weldon Drake of Whitewright will officiate. Interment is to be in Tidwell cemetery. Grandsons and nephews will act as pallbearers. The Gray-Ballard-Sorrells Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Wilemon was born on March 5, 1872, in Alabama, and moved to Oklahoma at the age of 18. He moved to Savoy, Texas, shortly afterward and came to Greenville a few years later. He lived in and near Greenville 40 years, but had made his home in Dallas the past 8 years. A retired farmer, he was the son of Cavet and Louisa Bailous Wilemon. He embraced the teachings of Christianity early in life and was a member of the Tidwell Baptist church. Mr. Wilemon was active in church work as long as his health permitted. He was married to Beulah Spoonemore at Kingston on October 20, 1897. She succumbed on March 17, 1911. Survivors include seven children, J.Roland Wilemon, Mrs. W.O. Miller, Afton Wilemon of Dallas, Mrs. Henry Williams of Greenville, Mrs. Raymond Miller of Merkell (sic), Leon Wilemon of Los Angeles and Mrs. Hulen Land of Austin; 12 grandchildren, a great-grandchild; a sister, Mr. Lonie Rains of Bakersfield, Calif., and other relatives.
