Bio

Ruth's parents were Thomas Harrison and Agnes Walton. Her ancestors were descendents of a Danish prince who settled in the area during the Danish invasion of England in 900AD She was born in Nest, a little village near Alston. Both Peter and she were living in Alston when they married - October 1 1831 All six children where born in Alston where Peter worked in the mines. Ruth died shortly after the birth of her daughter Ruth and shortly before the family was to depart for America .She was buried at Skell Gill Plains near Alson England.
