DAVID CITY - Ernest T. Svoboda, 50, Wahoo, father of Mrs. Gene Limbach, Schuyler, died Aug. 17 at Butler County Hospital, David City. The Rev. Monsignor A. Lisko officated at the Wednesday 10 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Mary's Catholic Church, David City. Burial was in the parish cemetery. The son of Raymond and Antonia (Hofbauer) Svoboda, he was born Sept. 1, 1930 in Brainard, where he attended parochial school. On Sept. 5, 1950 he married Adalyne Holeka. Svoboda served in the United States Army from 1951 until 1953. He had been employed as a truck driver for Farmers Cooperative and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife and seven children, (Debra) Mrs. Gene Limbach, Schuyler; Terance [sic] and Scott, Wahoo; Jeffrey, Houston, Texas; Robert, serving in the United States Navy; Rodney and Kimberly, Columbus; brothers, Leonard, Columbus; Raymond Jr., and Emanuel, Lincoln; Daniel, David City; sisters, (Elsie) Mrs. Ernest Divis and Mrs. Lucille Danaher, both of David City; three granddaughters, and his parents, David City.
