Preparation was made in advanve. Funeral services for Billy Warren "B. W." Stripling, age 83, of Nacogdoches, will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 with Bro. Danny Elliott officiating and burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Nacogdoches. Visitation with his family will be held from 5 until 7 PM, Monday, February 18, 2013 at Laird Funeral Home, Nacogdoches. B. W. was born October 31, 1929 in Nacogdoches, Texas, the son of Marvin Warren Stripling and Billie Pleasant Stripling. He was a dedicated Christian and long time member of Fredonia Hill Baptist Church, serving as secretary/treasurer of the Senior Men's Sunday School Class at one time. B. W. grew up in Nacogdoches, attended the Demonstration School at Stephen F. Austin and Massey Business College. He retired, after many years, from Stone Fort National Bank (now known as Regions Bank) as a Vice President of Lending; he was well known for his keen knowledge in appraisals of real estate, vehicles and cattle. B. W. enjoyed attending car auctions, restoring old vehicles and the company of his dog, Duke. In addition to his loving wife of 51 years, Maxine Bailey Stripling of Nacogdoches; B. W. is survived by his daughter, Billie Dee Stripling of Nacogdoches; 2 sisters, Joan Johnson and Lois Fitch, both of Nacogdoches; a very special, aunt Bea of San Augustine, Texas as well as other extended family, church family and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Billie Stripling and his son, Max Warren Stripling.
