Bio

Cora (Irvin) Bishir was born in Apr 1886 in Funkstown, Washington, Maryland. She died 25 November, 1902 in Ponca City, Kay County, Oklahoma, USA. She married Christopher "Phi" Bishir on 10 Jun 1901, in Ponca City, Kay, Oklahoma, at her parents', Frisby & Roseann Catherine Irvin's home. Her husband was born 26 Dec 1873 and was a son of William Marion Bishir and Elizabeth Jane Woods. The news article intimated that she had committed suicide, & the pistol that shot her was found laying on the dresser, in the same room as her lifeless body, with one spent cartridge. Her husband was never seen, or heard from again, after that day. The cheek of her only son, Harvey, presumably nursing when she was shot, was also grazed by the bullet that killed her.
