NEW ALBANY TRIBUNE OBITUARY – 08/01/2011 Funeral services for Walter L. “Robby” “Rags” Robinson, 79, of Lanesville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 4, at Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Corydon, with burial and military honors at Pfrimmer’s Chapel Cemetery. He died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital & Health Services in New Albany. A US Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was a retired blacksmith of 46 years with the Ford Motor Company. He attended Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Corydon. He was born March 28, 1932 in Louisville, to the late Roy & Mary Fluhr Robinson. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Hilda R. Loew Robinson; children, Ruthanne Best & her husband, Tom, Patrick Robinson & his wife, Joan and Rosie Lieber & her husband, Glenn; grandsons, Jeremy & Jonathon Robinson; brothers, Hubert & Ralph Robinson; and sisters, Odie Kingsley, Ivy Hollkamp and June Jacobi. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Joe, Frank & Kenneth Robinson, and sisters, Mary Evelyn Robinson and Marie Knear. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany and 9-11 a.m. Thursday, at the church.
