Mary Ruth Trammell Mayfield , 82, passed away April 25, 2011 after a long illness. Mary was born Feb. 19th 1929 to Choice and Lucille Trammell in McKinney, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sallie Terrell, her husband Bobby Mayfield, son Steve Mayfield and son Donny Mayfield. She is survived by her son Gary Mayfield, her daughter Charla Burleigh, husband Terry Burleigh her daughter-n-law Carolyn Mayfield; grandchildren Christie Fickessen, husband Karl, Jeremy Mayfield wife Jennifer, Jake Mayfield, wife Rosemary, Michael Mayfield wife Tami, Clint Burleigh wife Jamie, Brent Burleigh Fianc? Suzi Darnell, great grandchildren Ross, Marla, Gaven,Madeline,Sammie, Teagan, and one special friend, her dog Peaches. She will be remembered for being the rock and anchor of her family. She accepted every one of us with unconditional love. The memories of the family trips to New Braunfels will forever be cherished by her children and grandchildren. We will never forget our trips to Delta Downs or the times we played cards and dominoes at her kitchen table. She will always be a very special lady; words cannot express how we will miss her. A visitation will be held Wed. April 27th from 5-8pm in the Chapel of Niday - Fairmont Funeral Home. The service celebrating Mary's life will be held Thursday, April 28th at 11:00am also in the Chapel of Niday - Fairmont
