Bio

Emil F. Pustejovsky, age 80 of Route 2, Abbott, passed away Wednesday morning, September 19, 1990, at his residence. Rosary was recited 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 4 p.m. Friday in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with Rev. John Molnar as celebrant. Burial followed in Fatima Cemetery, Abbott. Mr. Pustejovsky was born October 24, 1909 in West, and had lived in the West-Abbott area all of his life. He was a retired farmer, a member of the K.J.T. Society #107 of Abbott, a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Abbott and one of the founding members of the church; he was also a past member of the Parish Council for a number of years. Mr. Pustejovsky married Bessie Pavlicek on October 16, 1933 in West. He is survived by his wife of Route 2, Abbott; two sons, Eugene and Emil J. Pustejovsky, both of Route 2, Abbott; four daughters, Mrs. Matthew (Lillian) Filer of Route 2, West, Mrs. Frankie (Agnes) Marak of Route 2, Abbott, Mrs. Kenneth (Bernice) Beene of Abbott, and Mrs. Raymond (Theresa) Jaska of Ross; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Ronnie Marak, Kevin Beene, Raymond Filer, Paul Pustejovsky, Phil Pustejovsky and Ray Jaska. Honorary pallbearers were all other grandchildren. The family has requested that memorials be made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Building Fund, Abbott. Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
