Many thanks to FAG contributor Kathy Monical (#49101662) for the following obituary: The funeral for Edgar F. Fuehring, 78, was held Tuesday at the Wood Chapel with Rev. Garret Karow in charge of the service. Organist was Mrs. Victor Gravel and soloist was Mrs. Bruce Schroeder. Pallbearers were the grandsons, Bruce Tempel, David and Dick Fuehring, Steve Craig and Mark Johnson. Burial was in Seward cemetery. Edgar Fuehring was the son of Frederick and Minnie Wussler Fuehring, and was born September 6, 1891 near Goehring. His mother died when he was three years old so he went to live with his uncle and aunt, Julius and Emma Hentzen near Seward. On April 5, 1922 he married Bertha Abele. They farmed in Seward county until their retirement in 1957. Fuehring died December 13 in Bryan Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, a son, Dr. Howard Dale, Clovis, New Mexico; three daughters, Mrs. Harold Keller (Jean) and Mrs. Richard Temple (Janet), Seward; and Mrs. Robert Johnson (Maxine), Wayne; 14 grandchildren; a half sister, Mrs. Elenora Armbrester, Bessemer, Alabama; and a half brother, Arnold, Columbus.
