Janet Carolyn (Fuehring) Tempel was born on March 5, 1935, in Seward, Nebraska to Edger and Bertha (Abele) Fuehring and passed away on June 5, 2024, in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 89 years and 3 months. Janet grew up in Seward and was a graduate of Seward High School with the Class of 1952. She was united in marriage to Richard J. Tempel on May 25, 1952, and to this union three sons and three daughters were born: John, Bruce, Robert, Jean, Catherine, and Diane. Janet was a homemaker and raised her children on a farm near Goehner, Nebraska. She had a deep love for her children and grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed playing board games, being a part of many bridge clubs, and tending to her beautiful roses and other flowers in her garden. Janet was a member of Goehner Grange and Goehner UCC Women's Fellowship. Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Tempel; infant son, John Tempel; son, Bruce Tempel; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Jerry Fuehring; sister and brothers-in-law, Jean and Harold Keller, Robert Johnson; nephews, Mark Johnson and David Fuehring; son-in-law, Frank Lavicky. Survivors cherishing her memory include her children and their spouses, Jean Lavicky, Catherine (Darrel) Dickey, Diane (Jeff) Moore, Robert (Linda) Tempel; daughter-in-law, Joan Tempel; sister, Maxine Johnson; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. https://www.zabkaperduefuneralhome.com/obituary/janet-tempel
