Whitney Messenger Friday, January 10, 1958 Mrs. Copeland Dies Jan. 1 in Itasca Mrs. Fannie H. Copeland 72, died at her home in Itasca on Wednesday, Jan. 1. Funeral services were held at Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Hillsboro, at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. F.E. Weller of Whitney officiated, assisted by Rev. Wayne Johnson of Ft. Worth. Burial was in the Peoria Cemetery. Mrs. Copeland was born in Whitney and lived in the Bethlehem Community for many years. She and S.S. Copeland were married 46 years ago. He preceded her in death in May of 1932. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include one brother, John W. Bennett of Crosbyton; three sisters, Mrs. Collie Henderson of Garland, Mrs. Jennie Cheek of Whitney, Mrs. Emma Golden of Ft. Worth; four sons, W.A. Fowler of Hillsboro, Leroy Copeland of LaMesa, Calif., J.B. Copeland of Hurst, Dan N. Copeland of Snyder; five daughters, Mrs. Wesley Warlow of Itasca, Mrs. D.R. White of Dallas, Mrs. Hurston Fletcher of Whitney, Mrs. Fanoy Parker of McCallum, Mrs. Eugene Ashley of Waco; five step-children, 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
