The Fort Worth Star-Telegram September 26, 1999 SPRINGTOWN - Walter Lee Wood, 76, an inspector, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, in Fort Worth.. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Walter Wood was born July 24, 1923, in Kopperl. He was a member of the Fort Worth Angler's Club. Survivors: Wife, Beatrice Harris Wood of Springtown; sons, David Wood of Killeen, Curtis Wood of Richland Hills, Karl Schubert of Phoenix, Ariz., Billy Schubert of Fort Worth; daughters, Jeanie Richardson of North Richland Hills, Beverly Wright of Fort Worth, Patsy Cowan of Granbury, Louada Curtis of North Richland Hills, Karen Bean of Boyd, Sandra Waller of Westcliff, Colo., D'Ann Carpenter of Springtown, Shirley Ayers of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Sherry Heit of Houston; brothers, Bill Wood of Arlington and Lloyd Wood of Fort Worth; sister, Gladys Benson of Henderson; 23 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
