Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday in Acton Cemetery in Acton, Texas. Memorials: Muscular Dystrophy Association, P.O. Box 9132, Fort Worth, Texas 76147, in honor of Kevin Hall. Marvin Wood was born May 27, 1910, in Whitney, Texas. Survivors: Wife, Effie Wood of Godley; sons, Billie E. Wood of California and Dean Wood of Victorville, Calif.; daughters, Dorothy Wood Morgan of Alton, Ill., and Ruby Irvin of Godley; brothers, William Wood, Lloyd Wood and Walter Wood; sisters, Gladys Benson and Ruby Stansberry; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
