From the Fort Worth Star-Telegram , Sunday, June 30, 1912, p. 12: John Vinsant, 73, died at Thornton, Texas, Saturday. He was formerly a resident of Fort Worth and the body will be brought here for burial. Funeral announcements will be made later. From the Fort Worth Star-Telegram , Monday Evening, July 1, 1912, p. 4: John Vinsant, 73, a former resident of Fort Worth, who died at Thornton, Texas, Saturday, was buried in Glenwood cemetery Monday. The funeral was held from the Glenwood Methodist Church. He is survived by a son, C. A. Vinsant, and a daughter, Mrs. Maggie Anderson, both of Fort Worth.
