Parish, 75, of 4218 Moulton St. will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Coker-Mathews-Peters Chapel. Burial will be in Tidwell Cemetery. Dr. James L. Sandlin will officiate. Mr. Parish died at 7:15 Thursday in a Greenville hospital. He had been ill for several months. He was born on Jan. 4, 1898, to Elijah and Nettie Hamlin Parish, in Fayetteville, Tenn. He married Altie Eldridge on Oct. 7, 1917 in Greenville. He was a retired lumber yard man and a Baptist. Surviving are two sons, C. L. Parish Jr. of Tyler, James Harold Parish of Mesquite; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Poe and Mrs. Irene Petty of Greenville; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Belcher of Fort Worth and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife on June 14, 1970. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Fussell, Howard Sandlin, Billy Eldridge, W. E. Causey, Ray Eldridge, and S. J. Poe.
